A year ago we went into lockdown - who would have thought we would still be there a year later. As a family we have been very lucky - no-one has been sick and everyone still has their jobs (apart from me but that is choice!). So many families have not been so lucky and we are very grateful. There have been some positives (I always looks for the silver lining!). Chris has been with us for the last year - we never expected to get so much more time with him at home and that has been a bonus. I have gone to university - and that has been amazing! We have discovered so much more about Wokingham on our daily exercise walks! The down sides - we miss our family - Tom, Laura, Libby, mum, Dorothy, Charlotte, Elliott, Shadow, Anne, Derek, Madi and Alex. And we miss our friends. Looking forward to brighter time ahead!
The photo is of Pulsatilla vulgaris - the pasqueflower - we saw it on our walk today in the Wokingham community garden - it is beautiful - I love it! Apparently it belongs to the buttercup family - who knew. We also saw a little egret for the first time. The last year has opened our eyes to nature - the time to look and really see things - and its amazing!
