Picton

It was just a short drive to Picton and Chris and Ella’s place. The first picture is the view from their garden! It’s a wonderful spot up in the hills overlooking Picton. We all showered and changed, after 2 days freedom camping it was much needed!! Then we took all our washing into Picton for a big wash! The waterfront here is beautiful so we sat and had lunch while the washing finished. Robin and I went to check in at the camp site, last night in the van!! It’s a great place so we book one of their cabins to stay in tomorrow night. They have agapanthus here as they seem to all over South Island. It is the flower of choice for every front garden and hedge, they are everywhere! There are unusual signs in New Zealand, this one on the door to the wash room says ‘Caution, slippery when wet, like a fish’ hilarious!! In the evening we went to the Irish bar and had a fab evening of drinking and dancing. Great night!!
