Ravilious

This evening we went over to Seaford Community Community Cinema to watch Eric Ravilious Drawn to War. On thee wat we stopped at Tide Mills to take a look at the coast there - its a really interesting place that had mills and houses there during the 19th century. Its one of the spots were the Seaford Mermaids go swimming - maybe I will go one day! We decided that we must come back for a walk - we can get a train to Newhaven then walk along the coast to Seaford (or beyond!) and then get the train back.

The film was amazing with interviews with living relatives and also lots of information from letters that Raviliuos and his wife sent. I am not sure that he was a nice man (particularly to his wife) but a great and prolific painter. Well worth seeing the film if you can.
