Off to see the seals today! We have a boat booked to go to Blakeney Point with Beans. We get to the boat about high tide and we see lots of smaller boats lined up there to be driven into the water. Some take two or three goes, it’s all a bit fraught. Today it is pretty cold and windy. I have 4 layers on and have to use my scarf as a hat!!

They warned us that there might not be many seals so we were very excited to see this group on the sand. A few of them got in the water as well. They are all grey seals and they had pups over the Christmas time. Apparently there are thousands of seals here then! It really was amazing. We also saw lots of little terns, some people call them swallows of the sea, and I can see why. I think they are my new favourite bird!!

We get back to shore about midday, and we are freezing!! Mum has talked about Cley a lot so we decided to go there next to take a look. It is another picture perfect Norfolk village! Again seems like there is a lot of money around. We stopped at the George and Dragon for lunch and I had this crab risotto. It was delicious, definitely go there to eat if you are in Cley.

Tonight we are at the caravan. Robin went all Spanish and we had tortilla and raxo , with a bit of salad!! All very good, maybe a bit too much potato in the tortilla, but let’s not be pedantic, we have eaten worse!! We are off home tomorrow, it’s been lovely in Wells but can’t wait to get home!!
