A very nice man came along at 7am and moved us all along! Not really a problem we parked up a bit further down the coast and had a cup of tea (middle picture above). Then we drove to the seal colony site. what a beautiful place, the area was slightly sheltered from the wind and waves and the seal pups were using the small pools to play at diving while there mums slept in the sun!

There were hundreds of them!! It was an amazing site and a wonderful walk!

Back to Kaikura for lunch then we set off for Renwick the heart of the Marlborough wine district. And it started to rain, up until today the weather has been lovely but not this afternoon. We parked up at one vineyard and did some wine tasting, only very small amount as we still had to park up for the night. Then off to the freedom camp and another winery.

It was called Dog Park and that was because it was the car park for a dog park!! It was tipping down so we ran to the vineyard and had some more wine in the hopes that the rain stopped. I was drenched!! Back to the car park and we set up the kitchen under some shelter and had a lovely meal!! Eventually the sun did come back out but we did go to bed early!! There is a story about a dog and duck in the park but I will save that for another day!!
