Soil sample at last

Over to Annes today in Leamington Spa, the first time that we have met for months! Obviously we had to sit outside with coats on and covered in blankets. Great to catch up - Anne has a new contract which sounds really interesting.

I also used the opportunity to do the soil sample I need for my assignment at her allotment. It was much more successful than the ones I did last week - I was so excited. The problem is that it looks so easy to classify on the online tutorial - not so easy in real life when you haven't done it before. I also found 6 worms and tried to identify them - 5 we were pretty sure about - the last one mmm not so sure. I took photos of everything and will do my research tomorrow. It was interesting talking to Derek about what they have done over the last few years to improve the soil. Even so the area that I took the sample is not that fertile - maybe I will find something out that will help them!
