Friday 21st March 2025

My regular walk around the Railwayland today. It was a beautiful day, the flowers are coming out and we saw saw a treecreeper which was amazing!! But the most interesting thing we saw was this fallen wild honey bee nest on the ground. We noticed it because we could see lots of bees going in and out of the fallen branch, on closer inspection the honeycomb had also fallen on the ground. I was suprised that other animals hadnt eaten it but maybe it had just fallen - I will look for it again next week.

I also had a hair cut, which I find very traumatic but always looks better after it is done! Then in the evening the Twinning Society AGM. Lots of talk about the Blois trip from everyone who went, I have said that I will go next year!!
