A lovely day so we decided to walk part of the Thames path. We took the train to Henley and then walked back 10 miles to Reading.

We admired the amazing houses along the riverfront - and also the variety of boats that go up and down.

Stopped off at The Mill at Sonning for a well earned pint and glass of wine. Its a lovely old mill house with the water wheel still going. They also have a small theatre there - maybe next year we will go back.

We headed off towards Reading and came to the Reading Blue Coates school. They have a huge river frontage and obviously take there rowing very seriously. There were two boats , each with 4 boys in - looked like there first time on the water. Some of them really did not have the hang of it yet - the coaches were very patient!

Back into Reading and off to our favourite Sichaun restaurant for a large late lunch!
