Its definitely pollination week for me at university. I am just finishing my poster for my assignment - I will submit it in a minute. We need to present it to an audience tomorrow and take questions then that's another one finished. Only 6 more until the end of the year!! We also covered pollination in our soil lecture this week. The task was to go out and do a pollinator survey - well I went out yesterday - there are very few flowers out to attract pollinators - I also looked today in the garden - there were a couple of bumblebees but nothing that was really going to work with a 10 minute survey - early March is not the right time of year so I think I failed on that one!!
I love this poster from the beekeepers of Plymouth. As ever the research for the assignment has been really interesting and I have learnt more about pollinating insects and hedgerows than I knew before!.
I had another lateral flow test today - negative again but the test doesn't get better with time - I was hoping that I might get used to it, but still gagged and struggled to do it. I need to do them twice a week for the next two weeks so heres hoping it gets better.
