the floor!

I started the day with a swim at Pells pool - not great weather but still lovely. Our new neighbour Fiona is also a swimmer so I walked there and back with her which was great. Then the floor people turned up - with LOTS of equipment. They will sand the floor a few times then put about 3 coats of primer and lacquer on it. That sounds very noisy so we spent a lot of the morning in the coffee shop nearby using their wifi! It was all worth it - the floor looks absolutely amazing! But as we though we really need to leave it for 5 days to really harden before we move back in - so Sunday morning! In the evening I went on a bat survey nearby - been to this house before - and yet again it was absolutely freezing here. Not many bats which is a bit sad.
