The lake is open!

Lockdown over (for now at least) and the lake opened up again today. I got up this morning with a list of reasons why I couldnt go, but in the end was more worried about not going - cant chicken out now! It was packed (for open water swimming anyway) and cold 8 degrees C.

I managed twice round the buoys but my hands were so cold that they started to cramp up so I got out. Swimming gloves are needed - getting them sorted out now! Going swimming at the lake makes me reflect again how much my life has changed this year. What a joy it has been to do so many different and scary things! I have been packing up the cottage today ready to leave tomorrow. But I have got a place at Cotswold Water Park to volunteer next Sunday so I will be back soon - which I need to do - I am very worried that my birds will miss me over Christmas!

Also got my results from the first essay - module 1 complete! I got 70 so overall 74.5 for the module - really pleased about that.
