The road to Estella

We left our hostel in Puente la Reina this morning at 7am. Loved the shared vegetable patch in the middle of town, they look after it so well! My left foot hurts but not so bad at the moment, we met friends and Kent them a Compeed as one of them had a blister, very Camino!

We stopped for coffee out of a machine at Cirauqui. Robin bought me a Kit Kat which was great, lots of people we know at the stop. Then off to Lorca, looking out for a Roman road which we found, in really good condition it was lovely to see.

On and on in the heat, I have managed to lose my hat which is really annoying but out in plenty of sunscreen. It was 24 degrees with no shade for miles, it is definitely going to get worse! My right foot has started to hurt in the same place as my left, not a blister yet but a worry. Eventually we got to Estella which is beautiful but we had no time to look, straight to the hostel and a shower and change. How fancy is this dormitory? It was about 22km today, much the same tomorrow, it will be a few days more before it is comfortable, I need to get over the blisters!!
