I have an assessment to hand in on Wednesday next week. I have been struggling with it - it is an academic poster which I thought would be easy but is taking time and only 4 days to go!! I have chosen the importance of hedgerows for pollination services - its a really interesting subject. I hadnt actually realised that commercial bees pollinate one third of our crops that need insect pollination. Economists try and give a commercial value to ecosystem services - pollination is a difficult one - currently pollination services are valued at $690million in the UK - but that doesnt include pollination for seeds (to grow the next crop) and forage crops for animals - so is much lower than its actual value.

I am back to university for 2 days next week and then a few further days in March - so I have to get regular lateral flow test - starting today. Its not a very pleasant experience - I am sure I will get used to it - negative result! phew!!!
