Tiles

We drove from Wokingham down to Lewes to measure up the house. We made sure that we looked at all the issues that came up in the surveyors report. There is a patch of damp in the bathroom but in general we are not that worried about the damp. But we spotted that these tiles are coming away and cracking in the dining room fireplace. Bit worried that they are caused by subsidence and we havent had any answers back to our questions on that a few weeks ago. When I got home I fired off some more emails - to the damp surveyor and to our solicitor asking questions about this. The estate agent was hoping that we exchanged by Christmas - that is not going to happen. Afterwards Robin went to the Lewes Mens shed meeting - I hadnt realised exactly what it is - I thought that they got a shed and did sheddy things in it - but no! They are organising talks on things like making mosaics (Robins idea!) and introducing people to technology (they are all older than Robin!). A quck trip inot Brighton on the way back to say hello to Chris in Robert Dyas - great to see him. And then the long drive home!
