To Los Arcos

Day 7. Up early out of the dormitory today and the view was amazing. About 24 degrees today and beautiful sky.

We stopped for coffee and Chris played the piano for everyone. He was really good and it turned out he used to be a professional piano player! He still plays regularly for his church.

Then it all got a bit like this. Lovely to look at but no shade snd my feet hurt! We followed 2 nuns for quite a while and they sang us into Los Arcos. It was 24km today and I was so pleased to get there. Sat down in the shade immediate for a cold beer and felt better! I noticed that a few people are starting to limp with blisters now which made me feel better!!

We did our washing and hung it in the balcony then went out to get some lunch, it was about 3 by now!! It’s a very small town so we met lots of people we knew and had a lovely time.

Tomorrow the Brierley book says walk 31km. We didn’t think we could manage that yet comfortably do we are stopping after 19km. A short day , hurrah, but we will lose sight of quite a few of the people we have got to know over the last 7 days.
