To Viana

Sunday 29th May 2022 Day 9

We are taking a shorter day today, we walked for about 5km with Lorna and Jane. Great to just walk and chat and my feet feel better! We stopped at Torre del Rio for a well earned breakfast.

Arun walked past and we had a quick chat, he is a lively guy and I feel sad that we won’t see him again as he is going on today.

We passed a wishing tree and after much searching I found a headband to tie on and leave a wish. Robin says I can’t tell him what it is!! It was very uphill and down sale today, but soon we could see Viana.

It was about 12 when we got there and it was so busy! Everyone out in their Sunday finest. There was a band

And we think there was a wedding going on, lots of flowers and celebrations. Later in the day at 630pm there was a funeral and all the town came to that as well!

We had a lovely afternoon and evening with old friends and new. Kyle, Lorna, Jane, Chris , Deb and Stefan. Plus two swedes whose name we can’t remember!
