I had borrowed equipment for my dissertation from Robin who owns the fields I surveyed. Early this morning we drove over there and dropped everything back with him. He wants to keep the insects as well - really not sure what he is going to do with them! Then we went into Oxford to pick up mum from the station and take her home - Didcot to Oxford is closed and the rail replacement woudl have taken her ages. Typically the first two trains were cancelled and the one she did get on was late - so we had an extra few hours in Oxford - so we went to the Oxford Botanic Gardens Home | Oxford Botanic Garden and Arboretum. We were lucky enough to get there just as a tour was setting off - what a lovely place I don't know why we haven't been before. Its quite small and next to the river, a walled garden that was built in the 1620's out of a water meadow! Well worth a visit if you go to Oxford. Eventually mum's trai arrived and we took her back home - good to see her and Dorothy.
