Walking

A few hours working on my assignment then off on a long walk today (full backpacks of course). We took the train to Ascot and then walked back to Wokingham. It was a hot day, we took lots of water and food. From Ascot into Swinley Forest, lunch at The Lookout (too many people but a good water refill station). Then over to Caesars camp - a walk around the wall of course! Then a trudge through the rest of the forest to Crowthorne - found a pub and had to go in - we needed a rest - they had the icec hockey on - Great Britain against Czech (thankfully Czech won, it would have been embarrassing otherwise!!). Then over the golf course, back through the plantation and into Wokingham. About 22 km - it was hard - I really struggled the last few kilometers.

When we got back we watched a documentary about the Camino - they followed 6 people on their journey - seemed much more realistic - they all made it in the end!
