Water Voles

I went over to Charlbury this morning to learn all about water voles. A really interesting talk from the BBOWT mammal expert then down to the river to look for signs and see what habitat they might like best. Apparently they would really like this stretch of the river by the canoe club, plenty of food they like and ledges at the rivers edge to help them get up the bank! We didnt find any signs of course (not expecting any) but we learnt how to do the survey so will be doing proper surveys in future.

I left Robin at the house with a long list of things to do - pictures and mirrors up, fix the hose, build the potting bench, put up the house number etc etc. He did a great job so we walked into Cirencester for dinner.
