Whitby Abbey

Up the steps to Whitby Abbey - they used to carry coffins up there - that must have been hard work! First we went into St Marys Church (which has the graveyard associated with Dracula!!). They have a message on the door 'dont ask the staff where Dracula's grave is - its a story!). Its an amazing church as it still has all its box pews - which is very unusual. Well worth a look. The Abbey itself is amazing, it was a beautiful day with blue skies - it could not have looked more perfect! In the evening we went back to Magpie cafe for another amazing meal! Whitby is a lovely place and I would definately come again. It was very busy though - I expect it is packed in summer!
