Robin spotted this on the ground in the garden. Its an amazing nest, very small, made of thin bits of wood/twig to weave it together and quite a lot of some sort of fluff to make it soft. There weren't any signs of eggs on the grounds, we presume that it blew down in all the wind we have had recently. I have looked up numerous sites to try and identify which bird made it. Probably its a goldfinch - we do have a flock around here so it is possible. If you have any ideas let me know!

We also watched the Wildlive talk with Dasgupta Wild LIVE: In Conversation with Professor Dasgupta - YouTube. The report he produced earlier this year on the economics of biodiversity is an amazing piece of work and the talk with him about it is very useful to really understand what is meant in the report - well worth listening to.
