Robin had the day off today so I worked on my assignment in the morning then we went off to Wisley in the afternoon as they had the Craft in Action show going on. I particularly wanted to see bronze (nicholatheakstonceramics.co.uk). A few years ago I saw on one of her bronze hare head studies and even had some email correspondence about buying one but it never happened. I have looked on her site since but it had disappeared, all sold I thought. Anyway the show was great and we found her stand. We talked to her about her hare head studies and she pulled out from under the table the one that I had wanted! It was the foundry copy as she had sold all the rest, I asked if she would sell it and the answer was yes!! I am now the proud and happy owner of a bronze hare head (foundry copy). Couldn't be happier - but it cost a lot so we didn't buy anything else!! I dont have a photo of it, it is really heavy and well wrapped so I wont unwrap it until I get to Cirencester.

We also looked at the willow sculptures as Rowan (at work) went on a course last weekend - she made a really good goose.
