I went over to Wytham woods Home | Wytham Woods (ox.ac.uk) in the afternoon today to meet up with Nigel whose title is the conservator of Wytham Woods (nice job title I think!). We were there to discuss the use of QR codes as interpretation boards together with some members of the Farm cluster.

Wytham Woods is owned by Oxford University and is one of the most researched woods in the world. You can walk there but you need to get a permit (and no dogs) as they have research projects going on everywhere! Its an amazing place and it would be great to go back and take a good look around. They have an amazing swiss chalet in the woods where visiting researchers can stay!

On QR codes what I have realised is that they are really easy - I set one up this morning in about 2 minutes - and it can show me statistics of how many times it has been read etc. The problem is the information that you want to show - ie a great website. Off to think about how we can do this!
